Super Mom By Joanna Fuchs

Since it's her birthday today, I'd like to honor the greatest woman in my life, through this poem from one of my favorite poet. Happy Birthday Nay! with so much love :-)

Mom, you're a wonderful mother,
So gentle, yet so strong.
The many ways you show you care
Always make me feel I belong.
You're patient when I'm foolish;
You give guidance when I ask;
It seems you can do most anything;
You're the master of every task.
You're a dependable source of comfort;
You're my cushion when I fall.
You help in times of trouble;
You support me whenever I call.
I love you more than you know;
You have my total respect.
If I had my choice of mothers,
You'd be the one I'd select!

What would Jesus do?

In this world full of troubles, it's really hard to follow what we think Jesus would do in every situation we are in right? Even if you called yourself a 'TRUE' Christian, do you think all of your actions are what Jesus will do? Say in some simple ways, do you think Jesus would love to have a face book account? Or would go on movie marathon? Watch televisions everyday; go on shopping, malling etc.? Isn't it a worldly pattern? Come to think of it...

A reminder for all of us...esp. Christians because we called ourselves Christians then we should have a Christ-LIKENESS attitude right? Well it's an everyday process, it's not an instant thingy I guess, it takes prayers and the word of God. We have been tested through situations that we should be sensitive enough to hear God's voice. Different Christians, different manifestations, some are showy in their faith but some are not, but I believe no one can judge one's faith in Christ or his/her relationship with  Him regardless of their religion or sector, regardless of their beliefs and regardless of their life's manifestation, it's because only God can knows what's really inside of our hearts so be careful in interpret ting other's actions/beliefs :-)

Well a sad fact that many Christians were living in the expectations of others. If Jesus were in your situations, do you think He will do the same thing you did? Or do you think He will do what you are going to do? If you trap in situations that you don't know what you are going to do or what you are going to say? Then think of what will Jesus do/say at that moment. Stand firm in the Lord. Are you standing for God? Or are you standing for other people? Are you protecting God’s testimony or you’re protecting others? Are you pleasing Him or MEN? Self-evaluation :-) The bible says: ‘For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.’ – Luke 9:24.

Many Christians tend to compromise their faith, we know what's the right thing to do before God and what's pleasing in Him but we tend not to, because we are so much careful of the expectations of the others and sometimes we just ignore the situation a play safe escape.

Well I just only proved that it's not easy to imitate Christ, it’s not easy to follow His ways, there are RISKS in shaping into Christ likeness, it’s an everyday battle to do or not to do because so many persecutions, some will hate you and some will leave you. Jesus persecuted in His own town, many didn't believe in Him, Judas one of His disciples betrayed Him, and Peter denied Him and the door of heaven closes Him when the sin of the world was on Him. Some says we are only humans we commit mistakes, yes I understand that and we commit sin? yes I do still commit sins, whether a simple or greater sin it is still a sin but God has given us the authority over these things, the question is Are you ‘really’ willing to do what will Jesus do? I believe if we have the desires in our hearts then we can, no matter how hard it is, would always be depend on our willingness...an issue of the heart isn't it? First things first, God would have to work IN us before He can work THROUGH us, correcting our hearts desires and attitudes and of course most importantly, if we want to follow Jesus, constant prayers and meditating on His word. Through these we grow in the knowledge of Christ, understanding Him deeply, (in a worldly view if you want to be someone else then you have to know everything about him/her right?) Then those know ledges/understandings about Christ will give us convictions to do what we have learned and so tendency is to obey God, not a selective obedience but complete obedience, no reservations but boldness before Him. We are no longer baby Christians or infants and so we should know these things already as we continue to grow in Him. Several times Paul reiterates these things in the bible:

‘14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.’ – Ephesians 4:14-16.
‘17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.’ – 2 Peter 3:17-18.

How about you, are you willing to do what would Jesus do? Are you willing to follow Him?

Just 'an' LSS (It takes 3)

For a week now, this has been an LSS for me. I first heard it in one of my sister's in faith wedding celebration, lined up as one of her wedding songs. The song was an epic, recorded and produced by Randy & Shannon Petrescue @ Dream Logic Inc. I love the lyrics and it's really honoring God in the center of a marriage. This song might be an inspiration to many especially at this generation where marriage only lasts for years and sometimes had expiration! How could that be :-(

Well this song could be a sort of an encouragements to the singles as well (ahemm :-)) that marriage is so sacred and to make it last, we put Jesus in the center of it. A Love Triangle Marriage between man Jesus and woman. Jesus to be in the center and at the top. I just find it so inspiring especially to those newly weds that marriage will not work without Jesus. We found to love and be love because Christ first loved us. Above all else, Jesus the author of our Love story and with the power of the Holy Spirit to join two lives, two hearts, and two destinies as One in Christ...will have to give glory and honor due His name...Just the two could never be enough and so truly it takes 3 to make a God-honoring marriage lasts.

I can't resist posting it because it was really inspiring! Hope you'll like it :-) I also put the chords in it but I don't know what's exactly the chords, just put it by hearing it. (with Capo much better I think but I haven't tried it yet) Hard to find, there's no chords and lyrics in the net :-(

Anyway congratulations to all newly wed! esp. to my sister in faith (ate mich :-)& kuya bryant!)

"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." - 1 John 4:18

Key of G
I. (G Am C D)
I can't believe God placed you in my life
Baby it's a dream, to hold you close,
To know that you are mine

II. (G Am C D)
I never thought,
I'd meet a friend like you
What you mean to me,
I'm learning more that words will never do

Ref. (Em Bm C D)
So I'm gonna show you with my life
How much you mean to me
But I could never do without the One
Who made us both to see...

Ch. (G Am C D)
It takes three,
To make a marriage work
To reveal, what only God can do
It takes three,
To see the Father's Love revealed in us
Just the two,
Could never be enough
And all though we're committed
When times get tough
We still need, the One who's faithful and so true
I know it takes
(I know it takes)
Me Jesus and you!

III. (G Am C D)
It's hard to understand
Why people say -
"Just give them a couple years...
They'll settle down,
Their love will fade away"

IV. (G Am C D)
I pray that they
Would come to know this love...
It’s not just what we feel,
It’s a precious gift
It’s sent from up above

Ref. (Em Bm C D)
So with Christ the love grows
More and more until the final day
So with our love we celebrate the One
Who gave His life away

Repeat Ch.

Bridge.
(Em Bm)
I know baby
When we say forever (forever!)
It’s gonna be forever
(Em Bm C D)
Cause we're not here to try this out
We're gonna press on through
Beyond a shadow of a doubt

(Em Bm)
We've based our lives
Upon the love of Jesus Christ
(Em Bm C D)
So we simply recognize the truth
And give the Lord our Lives...

Repeat Ch.

Flashback Moments

As I surf on this morning, I got inspired by this lovely video, simple and cute commercial made for orange rewind tv. So touching want her love one to be back, rewinding the moments :-) The scene brings me back to old times. It speaks so much about life that we should treasure every moment of it. Living it as if it’s our last, valuing our love ones and make the most out it. Life is so short to be wasted and regretted, every moment counts, embrace it, live it and love it

Happy Weekend!!! Share some love :-)

When God doesn’t Make Sense

I can relate to this series so much because I came to a point that I really question God or even doubt His power to do mighty things in my life. (Forgive me Lord :-() One of so many series I got encouraged. And so I just wanted to share some insights on this run. It gives enlightenment to my immature thoughts (sometimes hehe).

When we experienced situations in our lives that seem we don't understand, we prayed for something we've been praying for, for a longest time but still no clear visions or answers from the Lord, when bad things happen in our lives??? When God doesn't make sense at all...How are we going to response to these situations?

I confess, so many questions came up to my mind. You know to yourself that you prayed, read the bible and obeyed God but then nothing happens and sometimes added to your frustrations bad things came  :-( Lord are you there? Why these things happened? Why it takes too long? Seems losing all my patience and strength...My heart grows faint and it seems my prayers are just bouncing back around the four corners of my room. I felt the same way Habakkuk questioned God during those uncertainties in his life.

"How long, O LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, “Violence!” but you do not save? 3Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds. . . . 5“Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told."  - Habakkuk 1:2,3,5

Insights and verses from the series:

When it seems we don't understand the Situations...

1. Be secure in who God is.

O LORD, are you not from everlasting? My God, my Holy One, we will not die. O LORD, you have appointed them to execute judgment; O Rock, you have ordained them to punish. -Habakkuk 1:12

2. Go to God and ask Him.

Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrong. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous? Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves? - Habakkuk 1:13

3. Wait on God’s answer.

I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. -Habakkuk 2:1

When it takes too long...

1. Write down the revelation.

Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. -Habakkuk 2:2

2. Wait for its appointed time.

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. -Habakkuk 2:3

3. Walk by faith.

“See, he is puffed up; his desires are not upright — but the righteous will live by his faith . . .” -Habakkuk 2:4

When Bad things happen...

1. Pray for God’s will to be done.

. . . Renew them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. -Habakkuk 3:2

2. Remember God’s faithfulness.

God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. His glory covered the heavens and his praise filled the earth. 4His splendor was like the sunrise; rays flashed from his hand, where his power was hidden. -Habakkuk 3:3,4

3. Worship God no matter what.

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. -Habakkuk 3:17,18

When God doesn’t make sense at all, He is still God and knows everything more than we know and understand. He understands even if you think He doesn't. Remember He gave He's only begotten Son to redeem us? An ordinary father may not afford  to loose his son like that of what our Father in heaven did, hard to understand on our own right? But His understanding is far more than our understandings. It also takes faith in every situation we are in.  Faith is more than belief in God. We should act on those beliefs because Faith without deed is death. It takes complete TRUST in Him not for a while for a month or for years but for the rest of our lives. It is the basis for hope in the future.

Brokenness

Sharing some thoughts of mine with you, hope you’ll get encourage :-)

Do you know how it feels to be broken? Every one of us has its own story of brokenness in our lives. Be it in love life, relationships, spirituality or even sexual brokenness, all of these has its own share of pains that could hardly bear and sometimes worst comes to worst, it consumes our lives to the point that we are already living with it. So sad but it's true to some :-(

But wait here's the brighter side I've found about it :-)
Do you also know that there is Beauty in brokenness? :-) There is wholeness in brokenness, there are blessings in brokenness and in brokenness you shine? :-) Yes it's true...I've been tested by it so many times in my life :-)

Whenever I felt broken, I isolated myself from the others; I want to be alone... (Well it's healthy to be alone sometimes :-)), having one-on-one with the Lord, sing praises unto HIM and praying. Prayer is so powerful because from there on, it will help you view the situations in a Godly perspective. I started to recognize the pains I've felt instead of denying it that will later on create bitterness in my heart and so I just acknowledged it, YES I am hurt and there's pain in me and sometimes I let myself cry :-( Second, I have compassion for what I've felt. In the book of Psalm 34:18 it says: "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit", these only prove that the Lord is near to a heartbroken. He knew what we've felt and what we are going through. He has compassion to the brokenness we have. The same thing on us, I don't just ignore it, I will make it to a point that from this brokenness I will learn and from there on I started to understand those pains in me. It gives peace when you started to understand the purpose of your brokenness or pains you have. That this thoroughness is part of a heavenly reason, we may not know for a while but sooner we'll see the purpose. Even Christ experienced brokenness, in Psalm 51:17 says: “My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise”. A fact that He is broken for us, for me and for you is Priceless. Isaiah 53:5 says: "But he was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." And remember when Christ was about to fall on the hands of the foe, He prayed to the Father, as much as he wanted to let the pains taken from HIM, He still understands that those pains were part of God's plan. Matthew 26:39 says: “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” In the midst of our despair, there's always a greater purpose more than we could ever imagine, we only need to TRUST God. I found wholeness in Christ even if I'm broken. Surrendering it to HIM uplifts my spirit. It is so s0oo comforting to feel that way and it gives me courage to move on. YES it's time to move on and believe that we will be able to surpass it because of a HOPE that only comes from HIM :-) I remember, one of the insights I love from EN2010, and I quote "You cannot be offended and anointed at the same time so Move on!" It was being said by Ms. Grace A. God cannot use us if we still dwell on our past or in someone who hurt us. We need to release forgiveness, for ourselves and for the others. Remember that forgiveness is always been a decision and not a choice or option. It doesn't need to be earn by someone it should be given quickly. Life goes on no matter what. After all we found ourselves better than before. In our brokenness we shine because we are stronger than ever. And once you've already move on without bitterness, your brokenness can be a blessings to others because you will share it to them and they will got encouraged and learn from their own brokenness as well.

One of a beautiful quote I love about brokenness from Henry Nouwen it says:

“Our life is full of brokenness – broken relationships, broken promises, and broken expectations. How can we live with that brokenness without becoming bitter and resentful except by returning again and again to God’s faithful presence in our lives”.

So that's the beauty I have in my brokenness...Hope you enjoyed reading J
And as I end this blog, here's the poem I've created during those painful times in my life that only Jesus can heal J

Brokenness

Shattered tears
Deep hurts
Unwavering pains
Brokenness

My heart gets tired
My heart yells
My heart cries
And so I'm broken

Pieces of my self
Pieces of my heart
Pieces of my inner most being
Who can mend the wholeness of me?

As my heart grows faint
As my heart grows weary
And as my heart grows ill

Lead me to the Rock that is Higher than I
Restore the Joy of my Salvation
Mold me Shape me Glaze me

For this brokenness are yours
And I am broken without you

Because you are the Rock on which I stand.
